MLB First Half Recap

The New is Great But the Old is Still Good

After one half of the baseball season the game is being taken over by the wave of young talent. Kris Bryant , Carlos Correa and some other talented prospects are up. Bryce Harper and Mike Trout have taken the game over. Manny Machado has turned into a star. Pitching has been dominant. Zack Greinke , Chris Sale , and Max Scherzer have dominated the game. Paul Goldschmidt has been baseballs best player. Albert Pujols and Alex Rodriguez have turned back the clock to 2005.

Here are the Five Best Story Lines of 2015 So Far

5. Carlos Correa and Kris Bryant are up. They are already two of baseballs best. Byron Buxton , Addison Russell , and Noah Syndegaard are also up. Steve Matz is also up but currently hurt. Baseball has more guys coming also. We saw Joey Gallo and the wave continues. Joc Pederson is a star. The young talent is taking over baseball.

4. Mike Trout and Bryce Harper both are hitting over 300 and both have over 25 home runs. Trout and Harper are making the case to be the two best players in all of baseball. They are 23 and 22 respectively.

3. The young arms are taking over baseball. We are used to hearing about the veteran pitchers who we are accustomed to loving. However Jacob deGrom , Gerrit Cole , Chris Archer , Noah Syndegaard , and a large group of young arms are carving up baseball. The future is now.

2. Alex Rodriguez is back. You may have heard. Alex Rodriguez has not only played at an elite level but has surprised many people. Most people assumed Rodriguez had nothing left but has been one of the more productive players in all of the league. Rodriguez got his 3,000th hit , passed Willie Mays on the all time home run list and reached the 2,000 RBI mark.

1. After one half of baseball it is not clear who baseballs best team is. The Nationals were projected to be on top and are in first but have not pulled away. The Dodgers have done the same. The Cardinals have been very good. In the AL the Astros have surprised many while the Angels have caught fire lately. The Yankees have been in first for most of the year and the Royals have dominated the central. The Indians , WhiteSox , and Mariners have all disappointed.
