Week 14 In Review

Game Recaps Week 14 2014-2015 NFL Season

1. Cowboys vs Bears- The week started with a bang as the Dallas Cowboys were able to win and improve their record to 9-4. The Bears lost the game and they lost WR Brandon Marshall for the season as he broke ribs that affected his lung health. He was taken away from the stadium in an ambulance. The Bears loss dropped them to 5-8. DeMarco Murray had another stellar game with 32 rushes for 179 yards and a touchdown. Another great game by the Cowboys as they stay in the playoff hunt. The final score was 41-28.

2. Chiefs vs Cardinals- The Chiefs came to Arizona and they came to play. Early in the game RB Jamaal Charles scored two great touchdowns that gave KC a 14-6 as halftime came. Two controversial plays defined the second half as an offensive pass interference that nullified a touchdown by the Chiefs and a fumble that was wrongly called gave Arizona the game. The Cardinals capitalized on the pass interference call by intercepting the next pass which set up a game winning drive. The final score was 17-14. The Cardinals improve to 10-3 as they keep their number one seed and the Chiefs fall to 7-6 which hurts their wild-card chances.

3. Panthers vs Saints- This NFC South matchup was predicted to be a blowout, it was a blowout just not the way you think as the Panthers came to New Orleans and won 41-10. QB Cam Newton had a game for the ages as he looked like his old self again as he ran for 82 yards and a score plus he passed for 226 yards and 3 touchdowns. The win improves Carolina to 4-8-1 and it drops the Saints to 5-8 in the mediocre NFC South.

4. Colts vs Browns- After trailing much of the game, Andrew Luck led his Colts back from 14-0 score in the second quarter. After getting bumped and bruised, Luck led a comeback to beat the Browns 25-24. Luck battled much of the game after fumbling and having passes intercepted he was mentally and physically tough enough to win the game. The wins improves the Colts to 9-4 as the Brown fall to 7-6.

5. Patriots vs Chargers- The Patriots went to San Diego to avenge their loss to Green Bay the week before. Chargers QB Phillip Rivers had never beaten Tom Brady and the streak continued. After trailing most of the game, Brady and the Patriots led a great comeback which ended in a Julian Edelman touchdown. The final score of 23-14 allowed the Patriots to keep their slim lead over the Denver Broncos as leaders of the AFC. The win improved the Patriots to a conference best 10-3 and the loss dropped the Chargers to 8-5 and in prime position for a wild card.
